Miss Cell 2022 was crowned by Chidinma Ojukwu, a popular UNILAG student who was arrested for the suspected murder of Super TV CEO Michael Ataga.
Chidinma made news in 2022 of the murder of Usifo Micheal Ataga, the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, in June 2021, and she has been awaiting trial ever since.
Chidinma was remanded in custody, and according to reports, she entered the Miss Cell beauty pageant conducted at Kirikiri Correctional Facility to commemorate International Women’s Day in 2022.
Despite their imprisonment, the female convicts were given the opportunity to pursue their aspirations. At the competition, they were able to show off their talents and skills.
Chidinma was declared the winner after defeating other inmates.
